Submission 65
To my best friend,
Age 10, you'd run around the playground being Squiff, the blue monster with purple spikes, giving us nicknames and causing chaos.
Age 11 we moved to secondary school together, trudging the halls in huge blazers and buckets of excitement.
Age 12 we were on that residential together where we hid chocolate under the bed to eat at midnight and you taught me how to play Zelda on the DS, I'll never forget your face when we went on the 3G swing together, so much for 'I'm not scared'.
Age 13 we were sat in history and you had drawings all up your arms and no ink in your workbook, I've always loved your artwork.
Age 14 I'd go to your house after school, complaining about physics lessons whilst fighting on the computer and eating royal icing straight from the packet.
Age 15 you did something stupid, leaving my 16, 17 and 18 hollow and questioning.
You still make me sad but my 19 will hold me back no longer - I'm determined to live what you couldn't and prove the world wrong.
I love you Red.
