A support page by The Compassionate Friends charity

The Compassionate Friends is a great charity that supports bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents. Their website has a whole host of resources and has a page dedicated to suicide related grief. This page is very helpful for anyone going through this form of grief as there is lots of information, tips and advice for suicide bereavement. It also provides informaton about how to join a Facebook page for parents who have been bereaved by suicide where they can talk to each other online, find support and feel listened to. This page also supplies lots of resources including books, guides and more on suicide bereavement and discusses their retreats that they host for parents and siblings who are experiencing suicide loss.

They hold a monthly support group in London and have some regionally. You can find out more about these groups and how to be put in touch with the group facilitator here. They have information guides, a private Facebook group and even retreats for particular groups of people. You can find out more about their retreats and keep up to date with when they post about them here.

There are similarities and differences within all aspects of grief, and even within suicide-related grief your relationship to that loved one can bring its own unique emotions. It's important to lean into resources that can help with your specific situation just as much as it is to identify with the commonalities within all grief.
